Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your AlterJam account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how, and exactly what gets removed.
Delete your account in the app
The fastest way is directly in the AlterJam app:
- Open AlterJam and sign in.
- Tap the profile / overflow menu (the three vertical dots, top-right).
- Choose Delete Account.
- Confirm by tapping Delete.
Deletion is immediate and permanent — it cannot be undone.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your account and login credentials;
- Your profile and profile photo;
- Your jams, including every track in them;
- Your tracks in other people’s jams;
- Your likes, bookmarks, and other activity tied to your account.
Request deletion without the app
If you can’t access the app, email us at support@alterjam.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “Account deletion request.” We’ll verify ownership and delete your account and data within 30 days.
Data we may retain
After deletion we do not keep your personal information, except where we’re required to retain limited records to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or prevent abuse. Any retained data is kept only as long as necessary for those purposes.
